A response to your letter

won’t take me very long.

I have remained the same.

Was that not my promise?

My love, you have always been.

When I captured your heart

you already had mine.

So that if you left me,

No matter your struggle,

my love would be your guide.

I know you wanted nothing more

than to return.

I watched you as you replaced me

with other people and material things.

But I sent my love letter to you
