I recently made a list of 10 things that I was grateful for and on that list were my friends. I believe that sometimes we can spend month or even years with the people we care for and never speak the words, “I appreciate you.” I know this is similar to “I love you,” but what makes it different is the acknowledgement that your friend’s presence matters and increases your happiness. Today, I decided that I want to be sure that the people I appreciate, know it. So I will be calling at least one friend today and telling them “I appreciate you.”

- Determine who you really appreciate and for what reasons.
- Think about which of your friends could benefit from knowing you appreciate them.
- Acknowledge who you appreciate.
