Day 1: Make time for yourself.
The best indicator of how you view your happiness; is how you treat yourself. When I was younger, I learned that building a life for yourself has to be a priority. I know that many in their 20s begin to do things to build their dating resume. For me loving myself took priority and was my solution to a happy life. Learning me became an exciting journey that helped frame the woman I am today.
What I am trying to tell you is that relationships with others should not the main focus in your life. In your search for happiness; you need to be “ok” with yourself. Know what makes you happy.
Happiness in Action:
- Make a list of things you enjoy doing alone!
- Do something from that list. (Take a walk, bubble bath, shop, etc.)
- Take yourself on a date. (“Me” time is important!)
