“Jesus said to his mother: “Woman, this is your son”. Then he said to the disciple: “This is your mother.”

“Jesus said to his mother: “Woman, this is your son”. Then he said to the disciple: “This is your mother.” Gospel of John 19:26-27 When you walked with me I called you my beloved So go be careful to shelter my mother’s heart From what we knew would come As she rejoice that she has lost nothing But gained eternal life through her son… So my concern now beloved; Is not that I will leave here Only that you love her as I do and now take her as your mother. Supportive scripture (John 13:23, John 19:26, John 21:7, 20) Continue reading “Jesus said to his mother: “Woman, this is your son”. Then he said to the disciple: “This is your mother.”

“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” Gospel of Luke 23:43 Here between two who were guilty and earned their titles as they hung My moment of suffering represents something to us all A choice to live with me you must repent I don’t take away the punishment here on earth But belief in me can take away the penalty of eternal death. So mock in your ways, forget forgiveness; in life’s moments you have that choice. Or with Faith believe in me and have eternal life… Supportive Scripture, Revelation 3:15-16, (Luke 23:42)   Continue reading “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” Gospel of Luke 23:34 My foes and my enemies so easy to see their disregard They must play their role in my life fulfillment. So to them please show forgiveness But where father are those who said they would always follow Those whose words did not reflect their actions; They will turn from me; at least three times but the crowing they hear twice will remind them of me; Father because of your love, I just know this. So ignorant are they at times However, in this moment I … Continue reading “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

More than a day off…

Good Friday Although I am extremely social; I am a loner.  I spend most of my days reading, writing or preparing for some kind of task.  It’s what makes me who I am.  I am not easily moved or shaken by the things that the world says it can do for me.  But when I think of what Jesus has already done, it not only moves and shakes me it inspires me. So as I mediated on the Seven Last Words of Jesus; I was inspired to write these poems…. Continue reading More than a day off…

Happy 40th Birthday to My Big Sister

My first memory involves you. I was being pushed in a yellow stroller Every time it flipped over you’d get me back up; Laugh and push some more. I had no idea where I was going but I felt safe. I knew you were there.  When I was afraid of the dark I spent endless nights kicking you in your head. And looking back I never even realized I had my own bed For that and much more I am so grateful. I thank you for: Being my big sister,  pushing me,  getting me back up,  making me feel safe … Continue reading Happy 40th Birthday to My Big Sister

The Stroll

When I can’t write I find a picture or go people watching to help inspire.  Then I force myself to freestyle the feelings into words.  These were last night’s inspirational pictures hope you enjoy; “The Stroll”.   We begin by taking a stroll under a dark sky; The stars now act as our guiding light. The wrestling sounds of the waves, Plays like drums in the background. Your hand, now finds its way into mine. The sand tickles between our toes; Each step more relaxing than the one before. We stroll. At each break; Our eyes connect; we capture this … Continue reading The Stroll

Reconcilable Differences Part 4

A Single Woman’s Divorce I hold on for dear life as if your touch was that of my husband The treatment of girlfriends are different than wives.   Words that ring out the story of commitment “I’m not going anywhere.” But I can’t tell you; What if anything would keep you here. I lay alone in my tears. Challenged by my past. Claiming to myself “I will not play this role again.” I rollover to the spot where you once laid your head; These tears don’t make this our place. I tell myself “I am not your wife.” Just because … Continue reading Reconcilable Differences Part 4

No Fuss

No Fuss You don’t make a fuss over me Don’t spend time trying to convince me of my beauty You can careless about the style of my hair Make-up on or off, you never seem to care I can think through an outfit all day long To you it’s nothing different Chances are you won’t remember a thing I had on I don’t remember the last time you looked me in the eyes Just to tell me that I’m beautiful Come on, really you still can’t understand why I’m not making a fuss as I walk out the door. Timeless

Timeless In the Winter’s snow there was no holding me. Spring flowers bloomed and I plucked them alone. Summer rain, I watched from the window; Where were you? Fall came and I was refreshed; it was time I faced this change. You were suppose to come for me a long time ago I waited patiently and trusted the love we shared But as the seasons changed so did we. In no time I was settling for what felt like free. Now I rest my head on shoulders; that don’t belong to you. Dance to music that reminds me There is … Continue reading Timeless

Imperfections of the Soul

Imperfections of the Soul   I’m glad you helped me: to make a fool of myself one more time. Helped me realize how easy it is to lose focus on what matters. Thanks for making me say things. I thought I could never say again. For helping me believe there has to be “better” out there, yet you’re not it. I’m glad you helped me: to understand that it’s too late for apologies, or simply realize everything that glitters definitely isn’t gold. Thank you for making me know I can feel pleasure, when I thought I never would again.   … Continue reading Imperfections of the Soul
